In Astana, the Implementation of the National Standard for Sports Training was Discussed

A seminar on the implementation of the new Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Physical Culture and Sports” was held in the capital. The event was attended by representatives of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture Affairs, sports federations, and specialized organizations.

The seminar was opened with a welcoming speech by Nurlan Yesembaev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture Affairs of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

“The Law ‘On Physical Culture and Sports’ has been signed by the Head of State. Work is currently underway to adopt the corresponding by-laws. According to Article 12, it is necessary to approve national standards for sports training, which will serve as a unified guideline for the industry.”

Zhumazhan Imayakov, Deputy Director of the Republican Educational, Methodological and Analytical Center for Physical Culture and Sports, presented the key objectives of the project and approaches for adapting the standard to the needs of sports federations. Specialists from the sectoral departments of the Committee answered the participants’ questions.

The seminar became part of the systemic transformation of sports training in the country.
