Today, on April 23, at the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan, an updated composition of the Executive Committee was formed. Participants also discussed amendments to the organization’s Charter and accepted new members.
The event was attended by the President of the NOC of Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Serik Zharasbayev, Secretary General of the NOC of Kazakhstan Alimzhan Akaev, and representatives of the National Sports Federations.
Gennady Golovkin thanked the participants of the General Assembly, emphasizing the importance of joint work and assistance in the implementation of projects.
Due to changes in the leadership of a number of sports organizations and other personnel shifts, a decision was made to revise and update the composition of the Executive Committee to enhance its efficiency and activity.

Previously, figure skating was developed within the structure of the Kazakhstan Skating Union. In November 2023, the International Skating Union (ISU) approved the acceptance of the Kazakhstan Figure Skating Union as a separate Federation representing this Olympic sport.
It was also decided to exclude the Kazakhstan Luge Federation from the membership of the NOC of Kazakhstan due to lack of active activity.
Additionally, participants of the General Assembly reviewed and approved amendments to the Charter aimed at improving the operational activities of the organization.
